Absolute Farce

If Ukraine will just give Russia everything they want… we could have “peace” ? How do you spell YGBSM ??

Putin’s good buddy, Don Krasnov trump (lower case “t” intentional), claimed in his campaign he would stop the war, “because we have to stop the killing” and he said he would do it with a deal that both Putin and President Zelensky would be happy with. Apparently, he decided that the process to accomplish that feat of wonderful diplomacy required that he and Vance ambush President Zelensky in the Oval Office, with his “you don’t have the cards” line. Except for Vance, Rubio, Lindsay Graham and maybe a few others, no one in the world thought President Zelensky had “disrespected” dear leader Mr Ego.

On February 17, predating that Oval Office shit show, I had posted a substack article (The Show does NOT need to go on !) with this quote;

“At this point, there is no logic and no reason for continuing to accept that the U.S. has the right to insert itself into the role of “negotiation” host. …France, Germany and the U.K., at a minimum, should join Ukraine to tell Trump that; “your negotiating skills will no longer be required.” …The alternative is to accept a MAGA imposed definition of “both sides must accept concessions” and cringe as the Trump show becomes a stage from which Putin’s narrative is broadcast again, magnified, and likely written into the results.”

Fast forward to now, after almost two months of further “negotiations”. The results are in and should not be surprising. The bottom line is a virtual gift-wrapping to Putin of everything Russia has taken by force AND permanently blocking Ukraine from NATO membership AND the U.S. would “de jury” recognize Russian ownership of Crimea. President Zelensky, rightfully, has explained that this package is not acceptable.

Mr. trump, the master of the “Vito Corleone” deal, is furious that President Zelensky, in his learned opinion, is the one holding up the “peace” plan his team cooked up - even though Peskov has just stated that Putin has still not backed off from insisting on also getting the portions of the oblasts that Russia illegally annexed in 2022, which Ukraine currently is still in possession of. Mr. trump went on “X” with his rant, once again claiming that the war needs to be stopped to save lives…

Bullshit; “Saving lives” is mere window dressing.

Russia could stop the killing at any time by stopping the war or at least accepting the 30 day truce that President Zelensky accepted. Instead they continue to lob missiles at civilian targets. Intentionally killing civilians is part of Russia’s war effort. How much outrage has trump expressed about that ? In fact, he has refused to provide Ukraine any more Patriot missile reloads - even after President Zelensky offered to buy them. The Patriot missile kills no one !! Its only use would be to stop Russian missiles from landing on schools, hospitals and apartment buildings - killing civilians every day he can. The only conclusion you can draw from this is that Mr self-advertised humanitarian Donald “Adolf” trump thinks IT’S OKAY FOR THOSE RUSSIAN MISSILES TO ARRIVE ON CIVILIAN TARGETS !!

The fascist king wanna-be in the Oval Office is anxious to get going with “big business” with Russia. The messy little inconvenient war with Ukraine is apparently holding up his desire to have a trump hotel in Moscow. I think it’s likely that if the U.S., as claimed by Rubio and Vance, “walks away” from the farcical “peace” process they have orchestrated, trump will cease, again, all forms of support for Ukraine and unilaterally lift sanctions on Russia, so Dandy Don can get on with his Putin bromance.

Here’s another observation…

On March 15, a bipartisan coalition of Representatives introduced the “Russian-Occupied Territory Non-Recognition Resolution” - a defining statement of U.S. policy against Russia’s illegal war of aggression. [The full press release available here] - from that release is this quote;

“The United States must never recognize Russia’s illegal occupation of Ukraine—just as we never recognized the Soviet Union’s annexation of the Baltic states,” said Rep. Fitzpatrick, Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus. “Borders cannot be redrawn by force. Ukraine’s sovereignty is inviolable, its independence is absolute, and any attempt to legitimize Russia’s aggression is a betrayal of international law and democratic values.”

It was a wonderful, well worded gesture, as far as it went, indicating that there are (R) congressmen capable of honorable independent thought. These are the (R) co-signers of that resolution:

This handful of representatives earned partial credit for integrity. They have set themselves apart from the bulk of the MAGA monsters who are gushing in their effort to fall in line, with smiles, behind the Putin wanna-be current WH occupant. There must be other (R) congressman on the fence, teetering toward shifting away from our fascist-in-chief.

Why only partial credit ?

Between the pardons for the J6 rioters and the tariff tantrum fiasco - between the threats to annex Canada and Greenland and the ICE kidnappings to El Salvador - between the Musk DOGE ops and Hegseth Signal chats is it not obvious to any representative with a brain and one eye on the midterms that this WH occupant is toxic beyond words ?

If they want full credit, they must, MUST, stand up loud and clear, call for impeachment, call for replacing Mike Johnson, declare their Independence from the bobble-head (R)-party of train wreck Constitution shredders. And they need to do it soon. Now would be good.
